At its June meeting, Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. (WCAC) welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors. As directed by the agency’s bylaws, WCAC’s Board of Directors is a tripartite board comprised equally of representatives of the public sector, private sector and community. Read more here.

WCAC hosted its 2nd Annual Resiliency Awards – honoring twenty-two individuals and organizations who have supported the agency’s anti-poverty efforts. We welcomed Sha-Asia Medina, director of The Village Worcester for an uplifting keynote address followed by the presentation of our Sargent Shriver Trailblazer Award, Champion for Kids Iggy Strong-Providing Youth Opportunities Awards, Energy Equity Champions as well as several Action Hero Awards.
