Kicking off YouthWorks Summer 2022

Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. hosted a Kickoff for the 2022 YouthWorks Summer Jobs program at the JMAC Theatre in downtown Worcester. WCAC’s Job & Education Center (JEC) oversees the program which will place more than 400 youth into jobs with nearly 70 employment partners across the City for a six-week, subsidized work experience starting July 5th. Community Conversations: Navigating the Cliff Effect & Breaking Barriers in the Bureaucracy

WCAC will host the second of four planned Community Conversations on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 9:15-10:30 a.m. The (online) forum entitled Navigating the Cliff Effect & Breaking Barriers In the Bureaucracy will feature local leaders and expert providers who are working to break the many structural and policy-driven barriers that contribute to the cliff effect, and who also have practiced proven strategies that help people achieve greater economic mobility.
